Context of the need
For our customers processing steel and non-ferrous metals, we have developed a robust and innovative offer based on:
- Reheating furnaces;
- Pickling ;
- Acid regeneration;
- Cold rolling mills
- Strip processing lines;
- Integrated services and spare parts.
In order to develop its sales team, the Industry – Metals division is looking for a Senior Sales Manager. The job is located in Seraing.
Nature and scope
The Senior Sales Manager manages the overall customer relationship, develops new prospects with the objective of selling the organization’s products. Focuses on designated sales targets, business development of new products or sectors, maintaining customer and supplier relationships and solving specific customer problems. The Senior Sales Manager does not have a sales team to manage but works with and should federate the Sales Managers and Proposal Technical Managers of our several Metals entities in the world. The scope of the assignment is the enlarged Europe (Europe & Middle East).
Main responsibilities
- Develop the commercial strategy by client and/or by geographical area
- Responsibility for building and developing strong client relationships over time
- Responsibility for bid calculations (value, margin, provision) and contract negotiations
- Act as the single point of contact for assigned customers for products & services
- Supporting potential clients from initial contact through to contract conclusion (including contract negotiation)
- Constructing quotations and validating the quotation at the end of the sales process
- Coordinating the proposal & negotiation phase
- Negotiating with customers (Contractual Terms & Conditions, new sales, upgrades, service contracts)
- Explaining and demonstrating the products/solutions sold and thinking strategically with the customer (requires in-depth knowledge of the product line and its applications)
- Coordination and control of sales processes
- Management of partner relationships (including temporary association)
- Construction of the technical and commercial offer in collaboration with the technical pre-projects
- Is the sales contact in the transition from sales to implementation
- Manages the activities related to the respect of internal procedures in the sales process (go/no go validation, validation of quotations, validation of associated risks)
- Is responsible for the planning of tender submissions
- Represent the company in various external events
Profile
- Master's degree in Engineering or in economics/commercial studies
- You are fluent in English and French (other languages are a must)
- Minimum 10 years of B2B sales activity with experience in international business
- 5 to 10 year’s experience in sales of complex engineering equipment’s or industrial projects
- You have basic legal knowledge (Contractual Terms & Conditions , drafting of offers)
- You are able to manage complex and large-scale projects
- You have knowledge of negotiation methods and tools
- You are open-minded and adaptable to different cultures
- You have very good interpersonal skills and are persuasive
- You are a strong team player.
- You are internationally mobile and willing to travel at least 25% of the time
- You are familiar with CRM software/system
