Main Responsibilities:

As Group Cash Manager, you will report to John Cockerill Group Treasury and be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's day-to-day treasury operations. This includes monitoring cash flows, optimizing the company's liquidity, managing banking relationships and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. You will be supported by one person.

In particular, you will be responsible for

Management

  • Management of a person in charge of cash flows
  • Manage relations within the Group Treasury Team and with the various parties involved, in particular the accounting teams and the Controlling team, which prepares forecasts;
  • Organize the necessary back-up for the various activities;
  • Act as a partner to the operational teams, working with the various business departments;
  • Act as the Group's technical advisor on cash management issues.

Cash Management

  • Monitor daily cash balances and ensure adequate liquidity to meet the company's operational needs;
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flows;
  • Optimize cash and currency management within the Group;
  • Cash pool and drawdown limit management;
  • Develop the current cash pool in line with Group governance;
  • Strategy and management of currency, interest rate and commodity hedges;
  • Ensure rapid and accurate reconciliation of cash accounts in conjunction with the Accounting teams.

Banking relations

    • Management and monitoring of the banking relationship at cash management level through optimal management of bank accounts,
    • Maintain strong relationships with banks, manage banking arrangements including opening and closing of accounts;
    • Negotiate terms and conditions with banks to ensure cost-effective banking services;
    • Manage banking administrative formalities;
    • Manage banking credentials and organize monitoring of multiple regulations.

Compliance and Controls

    • Ensure operational compliance and compliance, in collaboration with the teams in charge of these matters at Group level;
    • Support internal and external audits related to cash management activities;
    • Implement and maintain effective cash management policies and procedures.

Reporting & Tools

    • Manage existing tools (Connexis, Isabel, etc.) and suggest improvements/simplifications where applicable;
    • Set up specific KPIs for banking costs;
    • Analyze the benefits of upgrading Group reporting tools for bank account balances.

 

Your Profile

 

  • Master's degree in Finance and Accounting
  • Minimum 10 years' successful experience in treasury management or related financial roles
  • You are an operational and hands-on force capable of carrying out projects autonomously.
  • Agile and resourceful, you are able to navigate in an international environment undergoing rapid transformation and growth.
  • You have experience in a complex organization in the banking, industrial or engineering sector on an international scale.
  • knowledge of financial markets and banking networks
  • Strong internal customer focus
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards relating to treasury, as well as an excellent understanding of accounting and financial processes
  • Very good knowledge of the main office automation tools (mainly Excel). Knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • You have a strong capacity to juggle strategic and operational tasks on a cross-functional basis
  • Perfect command of English and French
