Location

 

The position is based in (Mumbai), with support from all John Cockerill Group offices worldwide and daily collaboration with the system team in Belgium. Occasional travel may be required.

 

As a Systems Engineer, he will be part of John Cockerill's ICT department and specifically work in the Systems & Infrastructure team.

 

He will be based in Mumbai but support all John Cockerill group offices worldwide and collaborate on a daily basis with the System team in Belgium.

 

He will be the in charge of

  • Operational management and support of the infrastructure and ensure the smooth running of the network, servers and system applications. Monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure
  • Resolving incidents that could not be resolved by the Service Desk or generated by the monitoring system.
  • Installations, updates, tests, planning and configuration of the infrastructure.
  • Should be flexible to work / support to different time zones based on the project assigned. 
  • Collaborate with local IT teams for technical scoping for any local need in datacentre implementations.
  • Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

 

 

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in managing large Windows server based platforms.
  • Very good knowledge of Windows operating systems and working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, ADFS, Exchange, IIS, SCCM 
  • VMware Virtual Infrastructure Management Knowledge 
  • Knowledge of network switching: TCP/IP, subnetwork calculations, VLAN concepts, firewall
  • Knowledge of Powershell scripts for the automation and management of Windows infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Office365 and Azure
  • Installation of active devices in datacentre 
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written as he is going to work at global level

 

Considered as a plus:
