Role:

  • Ensure development of Process & Measurement system to produce First time right part
  • Ensure that all Machine tool, equipment’s and layout adhere to safety requirements
  • Problem solving by using various Quality tools like 5-Why analysis, Fishbone diagram etc.
  • Work on new requirement of Machine Tool, Fixtures and cutting tools for capacity expansion
  • Reduce Non Value Added activity (NVA) & 7 waste in Production flow to improve & sustain Productivity
  • Fixture & Tooling improvement & development
  • Reduce costs and improve production rates through Innovations in process by suggesting drawing changes or implementation of new methods & tools
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures & Work Instructions for the error free implementation of Process sheet
  • Responsible for defining process planning of all machining components with Process sheets.

 

Functional / Technical Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Machine tools, machining processes, cutting time calculation, latest generation tools, fixtures, Measurement methods, Programming & related software
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean manufacturing methods & modern techniques of machining
  • Experience with process simulations and standard operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of Process engineering, Productivity monitoring of machine shop & reporting
  • Auto CAD & CAM Software knowledge (Master CAM)
  • Knowledge of Macro Programs
  • Controller knowledge (Siemens & Heidenhain )
  • CNC Machine knowledge ( HMC, VMC etc.)
  • Engineering Drawing understanding
  • Knowledge of IMS Audits, documentation & implementation
  • Worked on ERP system for daily operations
  • MS Word, Excel & Power point
  • Excellent analytical, Self-initiative & Decision making skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

 

Qualification: B.E. (Mechanical) or Diploma Engineer

 

Work Experience:  12 to 20 years (Preferably in Heavy Engineering)
