Context of the opportunity

 

John Cockerill Hydrogen (JCH2) designs and develops a range of high-capacity electrolysers for the needs of these customers. This market segment represents a strong commercial potential in which JCH2 intends to offer the best offers.

 

To support the development of its Hydrogen sector, and particularly its Manufacturing department, John Cockerill is looking for a Mechanical Industrialization Engineer for its Indian site.  


Nature and scope of the mission

 

The Mechanical Industrialization Engineer Guarantees Mechanical manufacturability of products, to do this, he or she is required to collaborate in close collaboration with the product development department.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

The mechanical industrialization engineer reports hierarchically to the industrialization manager integrated into the Manufacturing department. Functionally, the mechanical industrialization engineer is mainly deployed in the Global Manufacturing and Global Technical (R&D) teams. He/She is in charge of challenging product development and guaranteeing manufacturability through the manufacturing of specifications.

 

To do this, he/she:

 

  • Is a source of proposals,
  • Proposes, if necessary, the necessary modifications to the product development department, favoring industrial solutions,
  • Is the industrialization relay between product development and the product/process industrialization + suppliers’ team,
  • Produces design supporting files from an industrialization point of view,
  • Intervenes from the product design phase (prototype) to series production,
  • Participates in the validation of technical choices,
  • Monitors the technological developments to be implemented in manufacturing,
  • Possesses or will develop a deep knowledge of part/component manufacturing methods and technologies (machining, joining, cutting, assembly, processing, automation etc..) to develop working instructions and method of manufacture alongside design engineering for best quality, reliability and cost.
  • Ensures a product/market monitoring role for any development likely to bring added value to the Group (feedback, customers, prospects, etc.).
  • Guarantees safety/environment/quality/cost/deadlines expectations.

 

Profile

 

  • Mechanical engineer
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in mass production/methods/industrialization
  • Mechanical Engineering Specialist (Mechanical Design) with a deep experience either in machining, in welding or in general assembly.
  • Control of rib pumping, functional dimensioning
  • Experience in large-scale production equipment (manufacturing) is a major asset, as well as knowledge of method engineering.
  • Autonomous and rigorous profile, able to work from a blank page, management of priorities and stress, flexible, able to take initiative and work in a team.
  • Mastery of Microsoft software. Knowing CAD software is an asset.
  • Comfortable in international contacts and relations
  • Proactive / Good writing skills
  • Able to create.
  • Fluent English; knowledge of French and/or Chinese is a plus.
  • You are able to defend your point of view and your proposals while keeping an open mind.
  • You are able to work in a structuring team, within the framework of a matrix organization and therefore to assume the responsibilities of several innovative projects (and in development) in parallel.
  • Available for short-term temporary assignments abroad
