Hedavali Workshop

1. Job Purpose


• To manage Production Planning activities ( Heavy Fabrication Related).


2. Key Result Area


• Initiate planning activities and processes through effective planning forecasting.


3. Key Responsibilities


• Plan, schedule, and execute fabrication operations to meet delivery deadlines and company targets.
• Preparation of Raw material Summery for procurement of various Mfg. components (Fabricated components). Time estimation for fabrication activities.
• Deep knowledge of welding techniques (e.g. SMAW, FCAW) and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Develop, review, and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) in accordance with industry codes like ASME Section IX. Manage Welder Performance
Qualifications (WPQ), ensuring all welders are properly tested and certified for the specific positions, materials, and processes they are working on (SMAW, FCAW)
• Implement and maintain Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices to minimize rework and increase shop efficiency.
• Enforce quality control procedures and rigorous workplace safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, local HSE).
• Carrying out various SAP functions related to procurement & production planning (MM/PP modules). Proficiency in computer software such as MS Office & AutoCAD is highly preferred
• Suppliers follow up for technical problem solving & expediting to achieve deliveries as per Plan.
• Knowledge of surface preparation & Inspection as per (e.g., ISO, SSPC, or NACE guidelines)
• Monitoring & Tracking of different manufacturing activities like Fabrication, Blasting Painting, Procurement, Assembly and Dispatch on a periodic basis.
• Coordination with various functions or departments like
Purchase/Projects/Design/Production etc.


4. Qualification and Experience


The candidate should be an
• Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university with 8 – 10 years’ experience in high production planning environment (large engineering & heavy engineering industry preferred).
• Operating, and hands on experience in SAP & Fabrication candidates are preferred.

5. Technical Competencies

• Thorough Knowledge on Mechanical Equipment’s.
• Thorough knowledge on reading of drawings
