Job Purpose

 

Control and Manage Procurement Data & KPIs supporting Global Central Procurement Organization.

 

The Procurement controller role involves proactively managing the end-to-end data analytics and reporting process in support of sourcing and procurement operations.

This includes data intake, data management, and data reporting ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with procurement strategies

 

The position is based in Mumbai (India) with a global scope across John Cockerill Industry, Energy, Hydrogen, Defense, services and corporate procurement

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Under the responsibility of Global Procurement Controlling Director and in collaboration with all Procurement teams and functions key responsibilities are as below-

 

  • Data Collection and Management: Gather and manage procurement data from various sources. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse procurement data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Use statistical methods and data visualization tools to present findings.
  • Reporting: Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track key procurement metrics, such as spend analysis, spend cube updating, and cost savings.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements based on data analysis. Recommend and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with procurement team members, Finance, IT and other stakeholders to understand data needs and provide insights that support strategic decision-making. Develop data management capability in the wider organization, that where possible deliver solutions that allow for self-service analytics.
  • Tool Utilization: Utilize procurement and data analysis tools to streamline data collection and analysis processes. Stay updated on the latest tools and technologies.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure data practices comply with company policies and industry regulations. Identify and mitigate risks related to data management and analysis.

Education & Experience

 

  • 8-10 years’ experience in a management control function in the industrial sector, preferably in a "Procurement environment"
  • Masters in finance or business

 

 

Background, Skills and Competencies

 

  • Practical expertise in office systems such as Excel and ERP tools such as SAP and Ivalua (e.g. purchasing - projects), PowerBI, Tableau etc.
  • Customer orientation, concern to offer a permanent quality service to internal clients,
  • At ease in a matrix organization and a support department
  • Analytical mindset, ability to formalize, structure and great rigor in work, particularly in terms of meeting deadlines
  • Attention to detail and comfort in controlling multi-source data   
  • Highly developed positive critical sense: ability to assess the relevance of data and to cross-check/contextualize it with other information to verify its plausibility,
  • Ability to take initiative,
  • Agility in a changing professional environment
  • Diplomacy, good communication skills, both oral and written, and ease in dealing with all types of interlocutors
  • Very good team spirit and willingness to contribute to the team,
  • Reliability, integrity, honesty, discretion.
  • Comfortable with an international environment and multicultural aspects
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Fluency in other languages is a plus
