Management Trainee

In this role you will closely work with the MD and the whole leadership team (Team ONE) of John Cockerill India with the aim to understand how John Cockerill India operates across all functions. You will support the leadership team in carrying out various tasks as required, and be closely involved in developing analysis, discussion papers, strategy formulation and roll-out of long-term improvement initiatives.

 

You will have a chance to learn how to identify and apply important strategies and business processes that are utilized on a day-to-day basis. You will be able to get an inside look at various areas within our company operations – including our finance department where you can find out exactly how we plan our budget or our marketing team where you’ll be given the opportunity to see how operations run day by day.

 

This role is limited to a 1-year tenure (with the option of a further 1-year extension) and upon completion you are hopefully ready for the next step in your career with John Cockerill.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Responsible for providing high level, confidential support to the Leadership Team in the areas of strategy, operations, financial planning, and marketing, or other
  • Assist in developing and executing business strategy
  • Support or carry out analysis and studies, present findings and proposals to the Leadership Team


 

Qualification and Experience

     

  • Candidates should have at least 5 years relevant working experience with the company
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree in engineering or business, or any related field
  • Must ensure absolute diplomacy and discretion, trustworthy and reliable
  • Proven ability to constantly exceed objectives
  • Demonstrated willingness to go the extra mile
  • Organizational abilities and understanding of complex organizational structures and processes
  • Quick learner
  • High ability for self-directed learning and work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, analytical & problem solving skills
  • Hands on experience in prepare the reports and presentations
  • Ability to deal with complex matters in ambiguous situations.
  • Good level of curiosity, persistence, and optimism

  • Highly versatile in commanding MS office products
