  1. Job Purpose

 

This will be a key position in annual capex and opex spend planning and management along with regular safe, effective and efficient maintenance of all workshop assets (Machines, material handling equipment’s, real estate and related works). The position requires demonstrated leadership/ technical acumen to handle team of skilled technicians and relevant stakeholders. Problem/ data analysis and actions to improve is an integral part of this position along with Technical Talent management within team. The position also must Implement improvements in the area of work to reduce cost and gain efficiency.

 

  1. Key Result Areas

 

  • Responsible for coordinating, preparing, proposing, Executing and reporting accurate annual Capex/ Opex Budgets for management approval to implement the operational plan effectively and managing maintenance activities within the allocated budgetary provisions to ensure cost effectiveness.
  • Prepare, execute, report to relevant stakeholders, the maintenance plans for all electromechanical equipment's of Production and Material Handling in coordination with the planning section.
  • Coordinate, Plan, Execute and Report to relevant stakeholders all Real estate (Industrial Engg) related activities for the workshops
  • Responsible for planning and execution of scheduled Preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and major repairs to optimize production & reduce downtime.
  • Responsible for trouble shooting during breakdowns all related equipment and facilities.
  • Identify frequent equipment failure and breakdowns and find out the root cause to solve the problems (if required modify in existing design).
  • Capacity estimation and preparation of departmental budgets for CAPEX.
  • Framing and assuring compliance to the requirements including pertinent policies, procedures, work instructions, and other related process control documents.
  • Legal and Statutory approvals management
  • To lead, develop, train and evaluate maintenance team (instruction and guidance to Supervisor, Sr. Technician & Technician)
  • Focus on Lean management through TPM and 5S.
  • Working on SAP (ERP System) execution.
  • Procurement of appropriate tools/ services through Purchase process
  • Managing required output with efficiency improvement
  • Selection & evaluation adequate process flows, Team Assessments, Analytical & Interpersonal skills, Dispute Analysis, Enabler to anticipate & handle IR issues if any.

 

  1. Key Responsibilities

 

  • To follow all relevant safety, quality, health and environmental management policies, procedures & also ensure awareness about these in his staff. 
  • Manage resources and activities and ensure deliveries are met according to agreed tasks, Quality and targets in a professional, responsible and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure that all Mechanical equipment's are inspected, maintained or overhauled in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner, according to best maintenance philosophies, procedures and practices
  • Daily / visual Management, Kaizen event planning and follow-through.
  • Responsible for delivery of planned production schedule with RFT 100% & must be able to exceed the expectations.
  • Responsible for team development & manpower management.
  • Must be able to handle team of 10+ work force & team of supervisors.
  • Financial acumen with process oriented cost base structure & ROI justification.
  • Responsible of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement, analysis of in-house rejection & preparation of detailed action plan and execution through PDCA cycle.
  • Working for implementing TPM & lean Manufacturing (5S, Kaizen, MUDA, Poka-yoke) in machine shop for higher productivity by reducing various losses.
  • Highly skilled to develop multimachine concepts.

 

  1. Key Skills

 

  • Operational knowledge of CNC machines like CNC Turning/VMC/HMC of FANUC, MAZAK, HEIDENHAIN, SEIMENS controls.

 

  1. Qualification and Experience

 

  • B. Tech/B.E. - Mechanical / Mechatronics / Production or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience Min. 15 to 20+ years.
  • Candidate from Project base industry, Heavy Machinery / Machine Shop Industry, Automotive Industry would be preferred.
