- Job Purpose
The position responsible for leading the corporate budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and financial analysis used for key decision making and strategy building across JCIL.
This position will also be responsible for communicating these strategies to stakeholders and ensuring project governance for any M&A activities.
Directly reports CFO and works closely with the leadership team of John Cockerill India Ltd.
- Key Result Area
Principal Accountabilities:
- Lead and managing the financial operations of the company. This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, financial expertise, and leadership skills to guide the organization.
- Responsible for overseeing all financial functions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team and board of directors.
- Support the M&A activities to ensure due diligence and work on market opportunities.
- Lead the financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, develop financial models and support strategic analysis of financial performance.
- Key Responsibilities
Financial Controlling:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support informed business decisions.
- Prepare and interpret financial reports, including monthly closing procedures and variance analysis.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure financial alignment with business objectives.
- Project Cost Management and reporting
- Monthly/Periodical timely reporting for Group consolidation purpose
- Ensuring compliance with local laws, tax provisions and relevant industry and financial regulations.
M&A
- Conduct due diligence and perform in-depth company and industry research supporting specific acquisition opportunities
- Serve as a critical project member for the execution and management of advisory projects; take ownership of projects by delivering quality output on a timely basis.
- Demonstrate strong business diagnostic skills and the ability to apply a logical and analytical approach to problem solving
- Create financial modeling and dashboard to ensure development of strategy on acqusition projects
Business Planning & Analyis:
- Lead the financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making, scenario analysis, and strategic planning.
- Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and trends, identifying risks and opportunities to drive business growth and profitability.
- Partner with senior management and department heads to develop and monitor annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and presentations to senior leadership, providing meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the FP&A function, leveraging technology and best practices to streamline workflows and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Operations, and Sales, to support strategic initiatives, evaluate investment opportunities, and assess business performance.
- Identify and evaluate potential financial risks and opportunities.
- Plan, schedule, and assign work considering project and customer requirements, priorities and resources available to cost-effectively achieve objectives.
- Education
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- Minimum of 12- 15 years of experience in a business finance role with a focus on financial analysis and reporting.
- Proven experience in business planning , M&A including engagement with international stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in financial modeling and MS Office Suite, SAP & other ERPs.
- Knowledge of financial markets and investment principles, statutory laws & regulations
