Job Purpose
The Controller is responsible for all financial and accounting activities for the organization. This includes budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and internal controls. The Controller partners closely with relevant stakeholders to drive operational efficiency, cost control, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial operations including month-end closing, reporting, and analysis.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain cost accounting systems and inventory valuation.
- Analyze costs, variances, and profitability by product line.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost effectiveness.
- Monitor and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate policies and external regulations.
- Provide financial insight and support for capital expenditures and strategic projects.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of company financials to headquarters.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Lead or participate in audits, both internal and external.
Education and Experience
- MBA in Finance from premier business school or CA.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience with BIG 4 consulting firms.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Solid understanding of internal control frameworks.
- Experience in engineering & highly sophisticated product is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of standard costing and activity-based costing.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact with management overseas & diverse cultural background.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience in a multi-site or international manufacturing environment.
- Ability to put across views with conviction, ability to take a stand.
