1. Job Purpose

To independently develop and coordinate cable tray routing layouts, ensuring compliance with
project specifications, industry standards, and constructability requirements while supporting
overall project delivery.
To design and optimize cable routing systems using 2D and 3D tools, perform tray sizing and
segregation studies, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure clash-free, safe, and
e(icient installation in industrial environments.

2. Key Responsibilities

o Developing detailed cable routing layouts (tray, trench, conduit) using 2D and 3D design
tools such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Inventor & Navisworks.
o Performing cable tray sizing, fill calculations, load calculations, and cable segregation
studies (power, control, instrumentation).
o Review cable schedules, single-line diagrams, and layout drawings to ensure accurate
routing.
o Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, structural, piping, and civil disciplines and
vendors to avoid clashes and optimize space utilization.
o Participate in model reviews and clash detection meetings; implement agreed design
modifications.
o Prepare cable routing details, cross-sections, and installation guidelines.
o Conduct vendor & customer meetings and site visits to verify project work &
constructability and resolve field routing issues.
o Support installation and commissioning teams by addressing technical queries and
design clarifications.
o Prepare material BOQ and estimation for cable tray systems.
o Maintaining revision control and documentation in accordance with project procedures.

3. Required Qualifications

o Diploma, ITI, or equivalent certification in Drafting, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant
engineering discipline.
o 4 - 6 years of cable routing design experience in industrial projects.
o Proficient in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Inventor & Navisworks.
o Understanding of industrial installation practices and site execution requirements.
o Good communication skills and ability to work within project timelines.
