Job Purpose


Implement the Group's communications strategy, both internally and externally, in order to support the organization’s vision and objectives by preserving and developing its reputation in India.


Key Responsibilities


The Communication Business Partner will play an important role in preserving and developing the Group’s reputation across all stakeholders at the Indian country level, crafting communication plan and managing relationships with media, investors, government bodies, and other external parties in collaboration with various internal functions. 

This role is part of the global communication team, responsible for respecting, adapting to, and creating processes in line with corporate communication strategies and guidelines, ensuring global consistency while addressing local needs. This role will be included in the John Cockerill Global Management Service leadership team and will also have a standing invitation to participate in local business management team meetings.

Maintain and promote existing internal and external communication systems in close collaboration with the operational marketing managers of the various businesses, in accordance with the Group's communication policies.

Draw up the annual communication plan for the region, defining priorities by audience, objectives and actions, and coordinates its implementation with the various players in the organization.


Internal communication


Create an internal communication system (definition of places, times, media,
content, etc.), and organize the deployment of information based on the Group's management calendar. 

Ensure effective internal communication within the company, helping employees understand the vision, values, and goals of the company, and how they contribute to these elements. This involves working closely with all company departments to ensure cohesive and effective communication at all organizational levels.


Internal Communication Trainers: Provide necessary resources and skills training to enable all Group actors to fulfill their communication roles effectively.

Draw up internal procedures for communication within its zone, in addition to Group procedures.


Content creation and management


Write the “elements de language” required for local operations and for the Group's information media channels (News, web portal, mission reports, etc.).

Act as webmaster for the creation, administration, publication processes and development of intranet and internet sites, as well as collaborative spaces dedicated to communication (SharePoint), in liaison with the global Communication team.

Manage, update, share and archive the documents required for communication: business elements, documents, photos, videos, brochures, etc...

Ensure that the Group's visual identity is deployed and strictly applied through its graphic charter.

Assisting the Group exhibition manager in organizing trade fairs, in line with sales objectives

Represent the region (visits, inter-professional meetings, etc.) and take part in projects run by the global Communication team.

Ensures contact with the press agency and monitor the Group's presence in the press and on social media.


Change management support related to his/her specialist area.


Support communication of strategic projects and major Group transformation projects: Facilitating the adoption of new behaviors and alignment with the company's vision and projects.


Crisis Communication

Lead and manage crisis communication efforts to safeguard the Group's reputation in adverse situations.


KPI orientation

Assess the Communication function's performance by measuring and analyzing the effectiveness of actions using key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate campaign impacts and adjust strategies accordingly.

Scope India - All Businesses


Reporting Co-reporting to the President of Indian operations and the Chief Communication Officer of the John Cockerill Group.


Education & Experience 

 

Hold a bachelor’s degree with 12 to 15 years’ experience in communications. Master’s degree is preferred.
Maturity with strong stakeholder engagement abilities. Supervisory experience is preferred.
Must have strong experience of liaising with external agencies.

•    Strategic thinking: capable of interpreting business objectives into actionable communication strategies and securing validation for these actions from both the group communication team and internal business stakeholders.
•    High ethical standards and professionalism
•    Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and relevant Indian languages.
•    Proficiency in press relations and social media strategy.
