Key Result Areas
- Manage the site commissioning activities for a specific project of John Cockerill Hydrogen
- Determine the number of resources required for commissioning activities in relation with the overall planning, including internal or external resources (instrumentation engineers, automation engineers, suppliers, …)
- Plan the collaborators commissioning activities
- Organize with the site manager the commissioning team including all external / internal stake holders:
- Keep, anticipate site conditions, commodities to receive the amount of people on site
- Availability of all required utilities
- Organization of required LOTO
- Reporting, progress of commissioning
- Support to produce template documents related to commissioning activities (Commissioning execution plan, commissioning manual, check forms, )
- Organize adaptation of the documents per project scope with support from engineering team
- Support the commissioning engineers during taking over from Erection phase (Mechanical completion for each sub system including all utilities)
- Liaise with suppliers of main equipment to organize the specific equipment commissioning
- Support uniform tests process with appropriate template forms
- Manage set of tools and spare parts for commissioning activities
- Support design reviews to anticipate specific requirements for commissioning
- Presence mainly on site:
- Safety inspections,
- Evaluate onsite difficulties
- Organize support for the site team
- Join kick off meeting and early preparation of the commissioning works
- Organization of the commissioning works from taking over till Provisional acceptance.
- Follow-up of commissioning works on site performed with required quality level, according to design documentation
- Respect commissioning planning
- Respect HSE plan, with objective of no accident, no injuries.
- Monitor progress of the commissioning works, people presence, site expenses: advise for necessary actions / solutions to keep planning and budget on track
- Support the QC team for quality inspections: FAT, SAT, Nobo inspections
- Support the performances tests
- Support the third parties’ certifications for all activities in accordance with the ITP; during commissioning (for instance safety tests)
- Follow-up reporting of possible NCRs (with possible application available on site)
- Follow-up reporting of REX propositions
- Support to Keep updated documentation on site (at least with as-built hand red marked)
- Follow-up reporting of Punch lists per zone, disciplines, sub-contractors. (with possible application available on site) related to commissioning
- Ensure daily logbook are updated and signed by all involved parties related to commissioning
- Put in place KPI’s monitoring
- Organize the hand over from commissioning to operation (customers)
- Provide support during warranty period
Education & Experience:
- At least 20 years of experience with BE degree as commissioning manager for industrial EPC projects in Oil & Gas
- Willing to locate close to the site (Kakinada or NRL) till end of the project (return maximum every 3 months)
- Experience with European companies is a plus
- Experience with Chinese companies is a plus
- MS project
- Able to use program (at least for viewer): Dwg, Navisworks, …
- Safety training – certification
- Process knowledge – able to read P&ID
- Automation – PLC knowledge
- ATEX certification / training
- Instrumentation knowledge – Hart Protocol
- Management skills
- Experience in hiring process for commissioning team
- Initiative, resilience,
- Languages:
- fluent English,
- if possible: French, Dutch and / or German
