Job Purpose

To support its growth, John Cockerill Energy Solutions, headquartered in Belgium, is opening an office in Mumbai. In order to reinforce its India Execution Center, John Cockerill Energy Solutions is hiring a CAD Administrator.

 

The CAD Administrator is responsible for the administration of CAD-tools with the following objectives:

  • Satisfaction of internal stakeholders, 
  • Conformance to applicable codes and norms and internal standards,  Quality of the documentation issued from CAD tools,            Control of internal and external interfaces.

 

Key Responsibilities

The CAD Administrator in this role will work directly with IT engineers, technology managers, business users, and vendors/partners in managing the Energy Solutions CAD solution across all functions. This system administration work will touch a variety of business areas, including research and development, design, procurement, and external vendors. The individual in this role will be expected to lead the work on system administration activities for the CAD solution including change management, upgrades, testing, user feedback, and day-to-day operational activities. This role will be the single point of contact for CAD issues, access requests, training, and business workflow needs related to CAD.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the CAD system is operational 24x7 unless otherwise down for scheduled maintenance
  • Ensure the support of the day-to-day operational functions such as assisting with system integrations, operational system issues etc
  • Ensure maintenance scheduled is pre-approved and acknowledged by impacting business teams
  • Responsible for adapter maintenance of bi-directional integration to key applications such as SAP / Digibuy, CAD, P&ID systems
  • Responsible for creating process interfaces or API code for specific business purposes
  • Work with other IT colleagues to define long-term systems strategies and roadmaps 
  • Assist CAD business analyst/administrator with project schedules by identifying technical tasks and system dependencies
  • Work with business users to implement and test releases prior to production rollout
  • Conduct and coordinate release verification for adapters prior to production deployments
  • Work with the IT infrastructure team provide hardware requirements and acquire hardware
  • Work with the IT shared services group to provide requirements for integrating with

other enterprise systems (SAP, DigiBuy,…)

  • Responsible for implementing and supporting a security model for all roles within the system

 

Education & Experience 

  • 3-5 years relevant experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology

  • Knowledge of Hexagon/Intergraph suite (SmartPlant 3D, SmartSketch, Smart P&ID, and SmartPlant Materials) or similar solution AVEVA, Autodesk Plant 3D is a strong asset
  • Knowledge HRSG (or plant) and piping specification (ASME, EN) is an asset
  • Knowledge of Autodesk tools (AutoCAD and Inventor) is an asset,
  • Knowledge of data basis creation and maintenance, mainly Oracle,
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Understanding of product and organization interfaces
  • Proficient in English, particularly in reading and writing
