Job Summary:

A Green Hydrogen Manufacturing Systems Quality Manager is a professional responsible for ensuring that quality standards are met in the manufacturing processes and systems used in the production of green hydrogen system production.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Quality Management Systems

  • IMS: Build the Quality Management System and achieve required ASME and ISO certifications. In conjunction with functional leadership, develop the Integrated Management System (IMS) policy and systems supporting Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental, and Security management for the entire company, as part of the vision and overall strategy for the business.
  • Certifications: Build, manage and maintain the plant and process quality certification processes, e.g. ISO 9001, ASME. Maintain comprehensive records of manufacturing processes, quality control data, and quality management systems documentation for traceability and audit purposes. Maintains the data repository, manages and updates the management system according to the evolution of the applicable standards, regulations and internal policies.
  • Audits: Plans and implements the Quality Management Reviews, coordinates, and conducts audits (Internal and External)

Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that the green hydrogen manufacturing systems meet required standards. Generates validated product quality documentaion and ensures the proper execution of our products' quality records for their presentation to clients, for final approval and acceptance by clients/representatives.

Compliance: Implement a PDCA process to ensure compliance with required standard and certifications.

Quality Assurance: Builds, executes, and controls the Manufacturing Quality Control Plan (MQCP). Ensures quality through data analysis, regular inspections, audits, and testing of the manufacturing equipment and processes.

Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformities, and deviations in the manufacturing processes, working with cross-functional teams to find effective solutions. Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent their recurrence.

Supplier Management: Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality of components and materials used in the manufacturing systems.

Training and Development: Train and develop manufacturing personnel in quality control and quality assurance procedures. Motivate team to maintain a highly engaged culture of quality awareness in the workforce.

Continuous Improvement: Implement a culture of continuous improvement in the quality organization. Continuously collaborate with operations and other stakeholders in the improvement and optimization of manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce production costs while ensuring required quality standards.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks that could affect the quality of the manufacturing systems.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management or relevant manufacturing field (e.g., engineering, industrial management).
  • 5-10  years of experience in quality management, preferably in a heavy industry manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, lean manufacturing, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry-specific quality standards and regulations.
  • Experience with CapEx, start up or commissioning of product lines/processes preferred.

 Physical Demands

• Ability to lift =>30lbs, extensive walking in manufacturing environment (indoor and outdoor exposure)

• 25% international and domestic travel may be required

• Protective eye wear, footwear, hardhat and gloves when entering where required
