  1. Job Purpose

 

  • To ensure timely completion of piping 3D modelling and drawings to the required format
  • To prepare bill of materials extracted from piping drawing

       

  1. Key Result Area

 

  • Timely completion of drawings
  • Drawings and BOMs made to expected quality
  • Continuous Improvement in working

 

  1. Key Responsibilities

 

  • Understand the inputs (3D Model, P&ID, PFD, Piping Material Specifications etc.)
  • Generate the output – 3D modelling of piping, Isometric and Orthographic generation, MTO and Bill of material
  • Clash review study, before output extraction
  • Ensuring errorless drawing generation

 

  1. Qualification and Experience

     

The candidate should be a

  • Mechanical/Production Engineering from a reputed Institute, min 4 years of experience in Piping related to process / heavy engineering industry
  • Must have experience in Auto CAD 2D & 3D, Inventor and Plant 3D
  • Piping knowledge related to steel processing line industry is preferrable

 

  1. Technical Competencies

 

  • Thorough knowledge of drawings, drafting standards and engineering standards.
  • Good knowledge of equipment related to Mechanical.
  • Ability to understand the P&ID, Process Flow Diagram and generate pipe routing accordingly

 

  • Knowledge of IS, ASTM, DIN piping and other standards.
  • Able to create library considering different piping standard in AutoCAD plant 3D, to have correct item description, material code, weight etc. in BOM.
  • Work experience of preparing 3D modelling in plant 3D
  • Visualize the possible clashes & interference during model preparation.  
  • ISO, Ortho drawing extraction from Plant 3D model and able to resolve problems while extraction of same.
  • Familiar with weld joint types in piping & piping supports and prepare drawing.
  • MTO preparation based on individual ISO BOM
