Job Summary

The Product Quality Director, Europe, is responsible for overseeing the quality management system across all engineering, procurement, and construction projects. This role involves strategic planning, leadership, and ensuring that all projects meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the overall quality strategy for EPC projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective execution of quality activities in EPC projects.
  • Project Oversight: Monitor and review quality performance across all EPC projects, ensuring that quality objectives are met and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential quality issues in EPC projects.
  • Supplier Quality: Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure that suppliers meet quality requirements and support the organization’s quality objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes and performance across all projects.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding quality issues, ensuring that their requirements are met and addressing any concerns.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards, including ISO 9001, PED, ASME, ATEX… and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes.

 

 

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in quality management, with at least 10 years in a leadership role within EPC projects.

 

 

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Strong knowledge of codes and standards applicable to pressure-vessels (PED, ASME, Low voltage, machine directives, ATEX…)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the oil & gas or equivalent industry.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001).

 

Working Conditions:

  • Office and construction site environments with occasional travel to supplier or client sites as needed.
  • Occasional travel to other regions as needed (China, India, US)
