Your role

The Sales Manager – Aftermarket Products & Services is responsible for driving regional growth of the company’s HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) aftermarket portfolio, on a global scope (excluding Far East Asia).

The role covers the entire sales cycle, from early opportunity identification and structuring through offer development and contract closure. The position involves proactive engagement with direct clients, power plant owners, EPCs, developers, and end users, with the objective of positioning the company as a trusted partner for HRSG solutions.

The ideal candidate is a senior techno-commercial profile with strong experience in aftermarket solutions for industrial boilers (IB) and HRSG, equipment lifecycle services, and gas-to-power markets. Prior experience with other HRSG OEMs is considered a strong asset.


Your key responsibilities

Business Development & Early Engagement

  • Lead opportunity identification and market penetration initiatives for IB & HRSG products, services, upgrades, and lifecycle solutions, on a global scale (excluding Far East Asia).
  • Develop strong upstream relationships with plant owners, utilities, IPPs, developers, engineering firms, and end users to anticipate future needs and influence specifications.
  • Define regional go-to-market strategies and contribute to sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and growth plans.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer challenges to build differentiated value propositions.

Pre-Acquisition & Techno-Commercial Structuring

  • Work closely with internal teams (engineering, product management, sales) to define tailored customer solutions (HRSG upgrades, component replacements, performance improvements, inspections, field services, digital/monitoring solutions).
  • Conduct site visits, technical discussions, and feasibility studies to define solution scope and winning strategies.
  • Contribute to budgetary offers, techno-economic analyses, and strategic proposals during pre-RFQ phases.

Sales Execution & Contract Closure

  • Manage the full sales process, from RFQ response through negotiation and contract signature, ensuring risk control and compliance with internal policies.
  • Convert opportunities into orders through strong technical expertise, effective communication, and competitive positioning.
  • Ensure accurate CRM updates and full ownership of revenue and margin targets within the assigned region.

Customer Relationship & Account Management

  • Act as the key point of contact for major and strategic accounts.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, performance reviews, and account development planning.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and close coordination with execution teams.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, product development, tendering, supply chain, finance, and legal teams to deliver customized offers.
  • Coordinate with regional units and service centers to align capabilities and competencies with market needs.
  • Provide continuous feedback to internal stakeholders on market needs, product improvements, and competitive intelligence.

Your profile

Experience & technical skills

  • Background in energy, power generation, industrial or engineering environments (HRSG, boilers, steam cycle, gas-to-power)
  • Proven experience in aftermarket sales, business development or lifecycle services for complex industrial equipment
  • Strong technical understanding of HRSG systems, auxiliary equipment and aftermarket solutions
  • Ability to structure and manage complex techno-commercial opportunities and long sales cycles
  • Experience interacting with power plant owners, EPCs, developers and end users
  • Ability to work with technical documentation, specifications, contracts and commercial proposals
