You will be part of our Power & Storage team, recognized for its expertise in:

  • Integrated Energy Systems: Designing and installing systems that combine renewable energy production, energy storage solutions such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Thermal Energy Storage Systems (TESS), and heat recovery to optimize energy use and efficiency.
  • Energy Management Systems (EMS): Developing and implementing advanced EMS to control and optimize the performance of diverse energy assets within power plants or microgrids, maximizing benefits through a value-stacking approach.
  • Renewable Energy Projects: Implementing projects that integrate solar and/or wind production with energy storage solutions to electrify industrial processes, increase self-consumption, produce green heat, and support electric mobility, thereby reducing energy costs and decarbonizing operations.

 

As a Sales Manager in this division, you will drive business growth by identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and delivering tailored solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients in the energy transition landscape.

🛠️ Your Role: As Sales Manager, you are responsible for managing the entire sales process for John Cockerill Energy, with the goal of expanding into both traditional and new markets. You are the key interface with clients and internal teams to secure contracts and drive revenue.

 

📋 Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy:

  • Support the Head of Sales in developing business plans, strategies, forecasts, and market intelligence.
  • Execute the sales plan in line with approved budgets.
  • Identify new opportunities and propose product innovations.
  • Help implement efficient sales processes for strong interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Support Service teams on spare/replacement parts and customer relations.
  • Monitor market trends, industry shifts, and competition.

 

Sales Development:

  • Manage and grow key accounts.
  • Build strategic relationships within the industry.
  • Qualify leads and guide prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Present solutions through client meetings, qualification documents, and industry events.
  • Work with other John Cockerill entities to develop global sales opportunities.

 

Sales Execution:

  • Manage proposal generation and ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Evaluate risks and align proposals with company strategy.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and closure.
  • Coordinate bid strategy with technical, financial, and legal teams.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to close deals effectively.

 

👥 Your Team You report directly to the Head of Sales and collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Legal, and Finance departments.

 

🧹 Your Profile Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s is a plus).
  • 10+ years’ experience in the furnace or industrial equipment industry.
  • At least 5 years in technical capital equipment sales.

 

Skills:

  • Experience in Energy sector is an asset.
  • Skilled in contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including internationally.
  • English Speak, additional language skills are a plus.
