Job Purpose
For the proposed upcoming Electrolyser Factory in Kakinada, we require a person for co-ordinating construction related activities with Architect and the EPC partner. The resource is required from Jan'2025 till the completion of full factory of 1GW (stage-2); an approximate period of two to three years.
Responsibility and Accountability
The site Civil incharge will be accountable and responsible for following activities:
• Certify that actual construction is aligned to the architect's design
• Certify that Quality of construction material is as per design specifications
• Approve Stage wise bill submitted by EPC / other contractors aligned to the payment milestones, terms and conditions
• Sign-off on the BoQ & tender documents.
Education & Experience
Qualification: B.E / B. Tech./ Diploma in Civil Engg. preferably from an institute of repute.
Experience: 18-20 yrs in supervision of a green field project within India
Background, Skills and Competencies
• Must know local Telugu language
• Must be good in understanding civil drawings, 3D models etc.
• Must have knowledge of Indian Building Codes and Standards
• Should know to work on AutoCAD, STEP files or any related software of 3D models
• Ability to communicate with architect and suggest changes for optimising designs/ costs
• Ability to appraise with the senior management of the project's progress, critical activities, support required etc. well in advance to ensure necessary approvals are taken in time
• Ability to supervise the construction activities to ensure good quality material use etc.
• Ability to provide on-spot decisions /modifications in drawings in co-ordination with architect
• Must have knowledge of water treatment, effluent treatment, fire hazard management systems, solar installations etc. & related factory acts of Andhra Pradesh
• Ability to liaise and co-ordinate with state regulatory bodies, architect and consultants for necessary clearances
• Should have the conviction to work from the construction site office on as required basis including some stretched hours for key milestone activities
• Ability to verify / correct the BoQ of tendering documents for various contractors / EPC partner.
• Have knowledge of best rates based on market intelligence and advise purchase function accordingly
• Have knowledge on utility installations - Electrical, Boilers, Chillers, Raw water, Drainage etc.
